Associate Professor Horn is a specialist paediatric orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Netcare UCT Private Academic Hospital, Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital and Groote Schuur Hospital.
Following completion of her orthopaedic specialist training at the University of Cape Town, Prof Horn completed a fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery under the tutelage of Prof Deborah Eastwood at the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, UK.
Prof Horn returned to take up a position and Red Cross Children's Hospital in 2016. Here she heads the orthopaedic cerebral palsy service and manages the entire spectrum of paediatric orthopaedic conditions, including trauma and infections.
Prof Horn is actively involved in numerous research projects and has more than 20 peer reviewed publications on various aspects of paediatric orthopaedic surgery.
